Review - Nanoslim

Nanoslim
NanoSLIM claims to be the “world’s smallest weight loss solution." It offers the convenience of a single daily dose wrapped up in a ‘micro-tablet’.

The company’s official website displays endorsements of Lisa Pomranky, MD in its home page (the doctor has been paid for this endorsement).

The referenced "clinical study" journal doesn’t appear and fails to provide information about who conducted said study and when and where it was performed.  It seems this is an "in-house" study and thereby, does not fulfill the conditions as required by the community.

However, it does not mean that NanoSLIM doesn't contain any worthwhile ingredients. Some of the NanoSLIM diet pill ingredients are:

1- Lagerstroemia speciosa (also called "Banaba”): Standardized for 3% and 20% corosolic acid. This is probably the most promising ingredient in the NanoSLIM diet pills. In the Philippines, Banaba is widely used as a natural medicine for diabetes. There are several studies acknowledged Banaba’s usefulness in lowering blood sugar levels. Therefore, NanoSLIM provides is useful for people with diabetes. It’s also useful for overweight or obese people. (Diabetes Res Clin Pract. 2006 Aug; 73(2):174-7.)

Banaba also have chemical component called valoneaic acid dilactone. Primary studies suggest that it may be an effective alpha-amylase inhibitor.

2 - Cha' de Bugre Extract: Among fat burners it’s popularly known as "Brazilian Slim". As of now there are no evidences available that suggest Cha' de Bugre’s usefulness in weight loss treatments.

3 - Green Coffee Extract: Standardized for 25% chlorogenic acid. NanoSLIM diet pills also have extracts of green coffee (known as GCBE). There are some evidences that show it may be beneficial in weight loss. As it is proved GCBE controls weight gain by delaying fat absorption. It also accelerates fat metabolism in the liver. However, the studies are done in mice and till date there are no such studies conducted in humans that validate usefulness of green coffee extracts in weight loss.

4 - Fucus Vesiculosus: It’s also known as bladderwrack or brown algae. Since it has iodine content, bladderwrack often used in weight loss products. Iodine is essential for proper functioning of thyroid gland. Inefficient thyroid performance may cause decreased energy levels and weight gain problems.

However, use of iodine supplement is only helpful for people who have low thyroid hormone levels. It’s also effective only when a person is not overweight for reasons such as over intake of calories and an inactive lifestyle. Besides, over-consumption of iodine may cause serious health problems.

Moreover, I fail to find any clinical trials in human that have scientific evidences to validate Fucus Vesiculosus’s effectiveness in weight loss. Similarly, I didn’t find any scientific evidence that suggest its effectiveness in slashing blood sugar levels as well.

How much NanoSLIM Costs?
NanoSLIM costs $39.90 for 40 micro-tablets (about $1 per day). While it’s not such an expensive pill, you will be throwing $1 out of window daily.

Side effects of NanoSLIM:
Side effects of NanoSLIM include increased heart rate, sweating, hot flashes, and bloating.

Conclusion:
Obviously, the key benefits of NanoSLIM lie in Banaba leaf extracts. And honestly speaking, NanoSLIM is not the first weight loss product to make tall claims as a result of Banaba extract’s promise. Accelis also makes such claims with very similar ingredient. They make tall claims but have nothing to prove them. It may offer some benefits in blood sugar imbalance, but don’t expect miraculous results as claimed by NanoSLIM.
