Ma Huang Review
Chinese Diet Pill Product With Ephedra
So what is Ephedra? Ephedra, known in Chinese as ma huang, has been used for more than 5,000 years for asthma and hay fever treatment. I don’t have any idea how could people sell Ephedra as a diet pill but undoubtedly it is the most dangerous diet pill that I have ever known.
Ephedra has been doubted by FDA (United States Food and Drug Administration) for its effectiveness on helping people to lose weight. FDA even banned Ephedra from the offline market despite there are still many Ephedra sellers on the internet. Be extremely cautious.
The ingredients
Ma Huang originally uses Ephedra as its main ingredient. Beside Ephedra, Ma Huang also contains Country Malow. Basically Ma Huang is only a brand name to Ephedra. In China, Ma Huang is used for hay fever treatment and as adecongestant.
The side effects
Ma Huang may cause high blood pressure, heart rate irregularities, sleeplessness, seizures, heart attacks, strokes and even death.
I won’t speak much about Ephedra because it is useless. Just don’t trust this product. Ephedra may still be legally sold in a tea form but don’t consume Ephedra in pill form.
The Ban
Ma Huang's side effects undoubtedly are extremely dangerous so FDA opted to ban the product from the market in the United States. Ma Huang manufacturer then applied against the ban and they won the case. However, the court reversed the decision and until today Ephedra is still illegal to be sold in the USA. Currently most leading countries have also banned all diet supplements which contain Ephedra.
Recommendation
We do not recommend Ma Huang/Ephedra because it's officially illegal and may cause severe side effects. Aesthetically, it is not available everywhere except you search for it in black markets.
