Lame Excuses For Weight Loss

When discussing weight and weight loss issues, you will come upon different people saying different things. While most overweight people will admit that overindulging is the main cause behind their problem, some people tend to brush away the problem, blaming it on some old excuses. Well, some of these excuses can be a factor in a few cases, but these are completely baseless for the majority of the cases and need a genuine explanation.

Blame it on hormones
One of the most common excuses made by obese people is to blame it all on their hormones. They make the thyroid condition or endocrine glands. The truth is that in most cases these overweight people have perfect hormones and nothing wrong with their thyroid or endocrine glands. Perhaps their salivary glands are just working too hard and that needs to be checked.

Low metabolism
Another argument by overweight people is that they have a low metabolism. While it may be true that the metabolism in an obese person may be sluggish when compared to a normal person, the root cause behind their weight problem is the same, taking in more calories than required. The poor “metabolism” is made to feel guilty here.

Another reason that obese people like to get away with is that they have always been fat and since it is inherited, nothing can be done about it.
