Diet And Bone Density

It is a widely know that the cause for strong bones is because of vitamin D and calcium. That is for the known part, what is not in  the public domain is that there are foods that people take that can lead to weakening of their bone density without their actual knowledge. This article will highlight some of these foods or diets that are detrimental yet still largely unknown.

Diet and osteoporosis: protein is very crucial in the optimum function of the body but too much intake of it in the long run apart for attraction of other disease lead to the lowering of the bone density.  The proteins are responsible for building of strong bones, but excess of it releases a chemical sulfates that makes the calcium attack the bones. The type of protein associated with this destruction of the bones comes from animals and not the vegetable protein. The same research was conducted also in tea but the results was differing hence no relation in the intake of tea with the cause of bone fractures this can be the case because the amount of caffeine present if tea  is less or half as compared to that in coffee.
Other diets that can increase the chances of bone fracture include: sodium, it makes the body excrete calcium through urine and perspiration.

The sodium is readily found in processed foods and table salt. Oxalates: are another forms of common salt the prevent person from the intake of calcium that is if both the oxalates and the calcium are in the same food product. Oxalates can be sourced from spinach, sweet potatoes and rhubarb.

It is advisable to take more fruit and vegetables that will try and neutralize the bad effects that facilitate bone fracture.
